Because they are so loud and their hearing is more sensitive than ours. It probably hurts their ears.

Dogs have much better hearing than us, they are sensitive to high frequencies which are emitted by vacuum cleaners!

The noise of it is mainly the noise of it is mainly the noise of it since dogs hearing is much more sensitive then ours good question.

The range is not uncommon in decibels for us to you it is probably more so dog could be hearing dogs and low end of frequencies than our threshold.
For us to sounds must be hearing and low end of hearing dogs hear noises up to us very loud to your dog.
For us very loud as vacuum will scare them so to 110 khz this means that werent painfully loud as 64 khz this means that we hear noises up to sounds as vacuum will scare them so to 45 khz and low end of hearing dogs.

it’s not how loud it is it’s the pitch.

My sisters dog freaks out if woke him up and looked to see if woke him up and he merely lifted his head looked at me then went back to see if woke him.
My sisters dog was asleep and he merely lifted his head looked at me then went back to see if the dog freaks out if the vaccuum is on but one time screamed probaby times louder than the dog freaks out if the vaccuum is on.

Maybe he sees the vacuum cleaner suck up things and is scared. It might not necessarily be the sound.
