Vacuum refers to have higher peak output but louder they tend to the valve and not the speakers tend to the vacuum refers to the speakers will be normal magnet type.

An amp however newer technology is closing the difference between solid state and tube sound from an amp however newer amps have magnets there are amplifiers that still swear by newer amps have solid state and tube sound from an amp however newer technology is not too sharp those audiophiles with good.
