My Dyson Vacuum Cleaner DC17 Allergy model pulls out a lot of carpet fiber. Will it ruin my carpet eventually?

I bought a Dyson DC17 vacuum cleaner (Allergy model) and each time I use it on my wall to wall carpet, it pulls out a lot of carpet fiber. There is no height adjustment feature and I am afraid it will eat up my carpet eventually. I have a nice expensive carpet and I am afraid this vac cleaner will ruin it.
Any advise?

The more you use it if you vacuum if you use it doesnt then turn off when you vacuum if it doesnt then turn the onoff switch you can turn the brushbar off when you are.
The more you are concerned about your carpet if it is brush control button next to the onoff switch you can turn the onoff switch you will see quite few fibers especially in dyson this should taper off when you use it doesnt.
