How well do leaf vacuums work?

Posted by admin
Jack asked:

I’ve always used a conventional chipper/shredder to mulch leaves. Mine broke and I’m going to replace it. The new leaf vacuums (the big rolling monsters that Sears sells for $500+) sound good. How well do they work with a LOT of leaves. We have 80 year old trees and get buried.

They work pretty well, just a little slower if leaves are real wet, also if you are picking up leaves over mulch, be careful because it will pick that up as well.

The leaves into holder and pull that pushes the leaves into holder and will even pick up grass clipping.
