How to untangle vacuum cord from a Hoover vacuum cleaner?

The model is a Hoover Dimension 1000 vacuum cleaner type canister.
The cord is tangled up inside so I can no pull out the plug. I can’t figure out how to take it apart so I can untangle it.
I pulled the cord a little at a time, but it won’t budge at all.
