best vacuums cleaners on the market today?

Thursday, August 25th, 2011
Les asked:

I am looking for two vacuums… One so I can clean around the house, and a hand held with a hose for the stairs. I don’t want to pay a fortune, and I would rather not pay over $50.00 for a handheld. I would like to stay in the range of $150.00 for the regular vac. Thanks.

Is one of those professional Sanitaire Vacuums really strong?

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011
mprieto_480 asked:

I have a Blue Sanitaire Vacuum that says “heavy duty” on the bag. Are they really heavy duty? It’s not the vacuum that has a canister, it’s the one that has a bag in back of the vacuum. Heavy duty to me means that it could pick up something like a penny or thumbtack without a problem. Can someone please tell me what it means? Also, what happens if you pick up a penny with a regular household vacuum?

Do greater vacuums affect the speed of light?

Thursday, August 4th, 2011
Obviousity asked:

If greater vacuums do affect the speed of light, then might it be the case that light coming to us from “billions of years ago” might not actually be from that far back? That is, what if that light, as it crosses space, goes through areas of greater vacuums and actually SPEEDS UP?

Thus, what we thought was, say, 4.5 billion years old may actually be only 1.2 billion years old.

Thoughts?
