How often do vacuums need a new belt? Is there another part of the vacuum that may need cleaned or repaired to help it work better?

My wife is a stickler for things being clean. I bought a Bissel Flip-it - hard floor™ for $72 I figured cheap and looks like it does an affective job. I take it home… HORRIBLE I mean it’s ok if you have an extremely clean house and you dont have children that track dirt and other things into the house; this was a horrible excuse for a house hold cleaner.

What can I purchase at a reasonable price, that will mop and vaccum my hard floors ( tile and wood floors ) effectivley?
