Jooooo asked:

Recently, our vacuum cleaner has started producing a really musty smell every time we use it (quite reminiscent of dog, despite the fact we don’t have one).

Are there any ways of getting rid of the smell from the hoover itself? We’ve tried changing the bag and I’m not fond of air freshners - if you ask me, they smell worse than the hoover!
Wow, thanks everyone - some really useful tips! I shall definitely be trying out a few of these things.

Cheers!

James

Vacuum cleaner that vacuums long hair?

liptonwantsass asked:

I have a Dyson vacuum because I was told that it’s really good. The problem is that I have long hair and the hair just gets caught in the bristles, so it doesn’t really vacuum well, and I have to cut the hair out. Does anyone know of a good vacuum cleaner that can vacuum long hair? Maybe even a vacuum for pets though they have short hair. Any help?
Oh and I forgot to say - off carpet.

Alexis B asked:

My dog has fleas despite the fact that I treat him with flea medication, give him garlic pills, and regularly vacuum the house to break the flea cycle. Can I vacuum his coat with a vacuum cleaner? Did anybody try that on their dogs? Will the fleas be gone? Would vacuuming the dog’s coat hurt him?

swirlgirl asked:

My mom is trying to choose a vacuum cleaner. She asked me about comparing the two cleaners that I mentioned in my question. Trouble is, I know that watts = amperes (volts), but I still don’t know how to answer her question. Can you help?

Andrew
