What is a decent inexpensive vacuum cleaner to buy?

January 14th, 2012 | Posted in vacuums   Comments Off
Wind On The Water asked:

Money is very tight right now and my old, old, old vacuum cleaner truly bit the dust permanently. When I went to wal-mart to look at new vacuum cleaners I became rather confused and bewildered over the selection. I have been left behind with the 1970’s style vacuums. Yes, I know - it’s rather pathetic.
Can anybody out there make a suggestion? I do not want to spend over $150-160. I have short pile wall to wall carpeting and linoleum.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

sana asked:

my 2 y/o is fascinated with vacuums and car washes.. he stays on youtube watching vacuum videos and automated car washes… every time we goto walmart or target he has to go see the vacuums. hes pretty smart bc he can browse the laptop on his own. I thought he would at least be interested in cartoons but hes not. it may be a phase but i was wondering if you or if you knew any kid with the same passion and what did they grow up to be?
